more 420c questions
need to set the record straight with some friends. i have 420c serial # 110449 and her blade push arms are mounted on the outside of her track frames not inside... and the hoist cylinders stroke out to drop the blade not to lift it. this is not original for this year 420c is it? lavoy can probably tell me the year of this rig aswell but i thought these machines had the push arms inside the track frames?

Hi,
420's were equipped with both inside-mount and outside-mount blades. Not all of them are Deere blades, though, as there were a lot of 3rd party blade makers.
The cylinders are meant to provide downforce on a dozer, so they all stroke out to lower the blade.
