Looking for Shim pack

Post by 440 iron popper » Sun May 08, 2011 8:39 am

I use aftermarket bearings in my 440 rebuilt. I tought these companies had various shims matched with their bearings. I didn't find anything on the internet. Timken, skf etc etc. All shim part numbers on jdparts.com are ''not existing anymore''. I'm looking for the square cover transmission shims as well. Do you know a place where I can get various shims?

Thanks!

Hey Iron Popper,
I actually cut my own shims for what your talking about but it was a major pain.
I just redid the finals and all the shims were available from the JD dealer. Not sure if the site your talking about accesses JD inventory but you might check the dealer directly.

Good news! I'll ask the dealer. Usually I check on the web site to have an idea about the price. Very often if there is no price or a message in red saying not avalaible anymore, my dealer doesn't have it. Thanks Again Whiteclipse! Metal that thin is hard to work...
