drive clutch

Post by tinkerer » Sun Apr 24, 2005 9:11 am

How do i ADJ. my my drive clutch on my 440 track loader, not the steering clutches,. I was moveing some dirt around the yard and when I pushed in the clutch to shift to rev. it did not release, and down over the stone wall embankment I went,I all most soiled my shorts.2 foot drop.It is like the linkage is not hooked to the clutch pedal and I cant see any place to access the linkage do I have to drop the belley pan? or is it internal?
thanks for all of your help

The external portion of the linkage runs along the lower left hand side of the reverser case. If you find no problems there, then the pin inside of the bell housing may have fallen out. Unfortunately only way to get at that is to pull the engine.
