420 set screw on fan blade

minimal torque on fan blade set hex screw and it broke right off. options?

More than likely you will have to drill the center of the bolt warm it up with a torch then use an easy out on the hot surface and try to remove the bolt.

Set screw will be hard to drill. At this stage, I would pull the radiator so you have room to get at stuff. Weld a nut to the broken off set screw, and it should back right out.

is set screw a specific part or might i be able to find replacement at hardware store?

Might find it at a hardware store, it is just a 5/16" coarse thread set screw, length you can figure out. In a pinch, you can use a bolt.

thanks much, found near exact match at local ACE hardware. got bolt out nearly effortlessly using Alden Drill Out - highly recommend this as I've never been a fan of easy out. this thing has drill bit on one end and extractor on other. very easy to use. swear i dont work for the company.
