1010 eccentric pins on the loader, are they easy to remove?

Post by bingles » Sun Jul 31, 2011 6:06 pm

I bought replacement motor for my 1010 and I am about to start removing my old motor but to get to the motor I need to remove the loader. The service manual shows to remove loader, cab and controls as one. I dont think I can do this in my gravel driveway and no sturdy tree near by. So I was thinking it would be easier to remove the eccentric pins that hold the loader to the tractor and pins on the lift cyl and lift it up and away with a tripod I have. DO those pins come out easy? Will it be easy to replace when done?

Does this sound like a good plan or whats easiest?

Thanks
Brian

If you take a look through some of the "Show & Tell" discussion threads, you will see a gentleman that has removed the engine from his crawler while the loader was still attached. I can say I have never had any experience (yet) removing an engine from a crawler (only from 2-cylinder tractors), but you are asking at the right place to get some really good feedback. Look forward to hearing from some more experienced crawler buffs on this one. Have fun with the project, and be safe!

i would say you have the right idea since you cant run it I would do it that way youll have to figure a way to block the arms up and pull the crawler back
