i scrounged up a petter ts3 3 cylinder air cooled pushing 34.5hp at 2500. measured everything up and flywheel mods should be straight forward. got to widen the flanges on my skid-plate for the fan housing tho. what do you guys think about 2500rpm? thats 75ft ibs torque too final drives should be able to take it?

That is over 30% more HP than the crawler came out with, final and trans damage will occur.
If you are set on doing this, I would back it down to 1850RPM, and back the fuel screw out some if you can.

This is an unauthorized and unsanctioned notice by the avatar police! Your avatar may be exceeding safe size limits! This is a boiler plate prepared message, not written to address anyone in particular.

The standard jdcrawlers premade avatars (those little pictures that appear below your name and that visually identify you) are 96 pixels wide. Some of us who have teenage children around, or who have spent half a day reading the help screens, have been able to upload a picture for our own avatar. All of us enjoy looking at everyone else's crawlers or pictures, but there becomes a point where large avatars get in the way.

When avatars (or pictures in the text of a posted message) get too large, they push everything over to the right of the screen; and for many people, off of the screen. Then you have to scroll over to read the end of a line of message text and then scroll back over to read the beginning of the next line. A pain. If you have a wide format screen you won't see that problem. But if a member has a 16 inch diagonal screen that only measures about 12 inches wide.

I have looked at a number of posts and avatars and I personally feel that 140 pixels looks like a good compromise for a maximum width. The text in your post identity, such as your location and screen name, also make the left margin wider, but the space associated with 140 pixels usually accommodates most text descriptions.

Lavoy is too nice to mention it, and he may have a better standard, to which I would immediately acquiesce. But in an effort to police our own chat group, may I suggest that we adopt 140 pixels as an avatar maximum width. You can see the dimensions of an avatar by right clicking it and clicking properties and looking at Dimensions. The first number is the width i.e. 140X100. You go to the website location where your avatar picture is stored and can adjust it there; then go back to the chat group and see how the change looks. The jdcrawlers website will automatically update all the avatars in your current and prior posts.

Only one man's unrequested opinion. Gil

p.s. Might I also suggest a maximum of 750 pixels for the horizontal width of any pictures imbedded in a chat message. This usually allows excellent resolution yet fits most monitors without pushing them off screen.
