Question for a 40C

Post by JD Tat guy » Sun Aug 28, 2011 7:54 pm

I was wondering for the blade on the front, did it only have one cylinder to control up and down? Is it in a float potion? I use it for grading the driveway but its not level. Thanks again.

Depending on which blade you have, yeah they never got it perfect. There was an uneven grade, even after you tighten up all the joints.

I can try to tighten up all the joints and see if that works better....I just thought if there was a cyclinder on each side that would help out.

The second cylinder will hamper your ability to remove the battery. My tractor has a second and I must remove the hydraulic cylinder to get the battery out.

The second cylinder will make no difference, any slop you have is in the linkage and pivots.

my 40c has a float option, it is explained how to enable it in the manual. at least in my manual. There is a hex cap on side of control valve and if I remember rightly you take it off and tske the plunger out and reverse it for float?? Going from memory not manual. Try it.
