Backhoe attachment question

I'm pretty sure that every detachable backhoe that JD ever made will "fit", as long as you have the backhoe brackets and power-beyond hydraulics on your tractor, BUT, that doesn't mean it's a good idea. :D
I've had 350 loaders with models 50 and 9550 backhoes on them and they dig just fine - the problem is that the tractor is VERY light in the front end when you go to move around, and it's hard to do any decent leveling or grading while the hoe is on the machine - prepare to back up most hills, too, or carry a bucket full of dirt for a counter weight.
I also had a 9550 on a 450C loader - it was heavy for that one, too, in my opinion (although much better than the 350). I got the 9550 hoe over the dealer recommended model 9300 because it was lighter and had swing cylinders instead of the trouble-prone swing motor that the 9300 has.
I've seen these backhoes mounted on dozers, too, although I can only guess at the frustration that those guys must go through without even the extra loader weight to balance things out.
All that said, go ahead and mount one on your tractor - they're a good all around unit... after all, they do detach, in about five minutes, for fine grading and loader jobs.
Before there were Hydraulic Excavators they were the rig to have around my area :) .

I have a 350B with a #9300 back hoe on it. The 9300 works well but I have been warned that the rotary type cylinder, used to swing the boom around, has been known to have issues.
