2010 no oil to rocker shaft

started takeing the motor apart that has a broke crank i bought for parts to get my dozer running and took the valve cover off and there has not been any oil to the rocker shaft for some time probably since it was rebuilt how does the rockers get oil? did not see a bolt with a hole in it like a case or a rocker stool with a oil galley like a ih

As directed in service manual SM2037 ch 40 sec 10 pg 6 CAUTION statment the rear shaft hold down stud (bolt) must be oriented correctly. Page 1 of this section describes oil passage with the flat FLAT oriented correctly..I think the flat is toward the right rear corner of the head linning up with the plugged oil passage, this in the book some where but I did not spot it and it is amazing how quickly one forgets.. the stud with the flat only HAS to be in the rear hole not turned any special way... and they dont run long without oil going to the rocker shaft i found this out the hard way
2010 with 622 dozer with mod. 35 ripper and a 2010 with 622 dozer bought in 1969 and a 2010 loader with drott and mod. 36 ripper

thanks again to the many helpfull people on this site i wanted to find the problem before going any further whoever put the head on put the stud in the front hole

what shape is the shaft and rockers in? when mine was without oil it lasted about 75 hrs and was toast i only found out there was a problem when she started barking through the intake i think i have a good shaft and rockers if you need one

my shaft and rockers are shot also but i have another one that came off the motor with the good crank (good as not in two parts) i need to ck the valve guides. got done takeing it apart last night and was pleased to find a new set of deere pistons and new deck plate this thing could not have ran over 5hrs before the crank broke the way everything looks! this is a ag block and i have cked everything i can think of except the cam and can not find any differance from the dozer block thanks for all of the help from all of you Greg

On mine i just cleaned up the grindings wash it down pulled the pan wash it but later did find that the oil return hole in the left rear corner of the head was pluged. after i got her running again every time i got up on a high slope with the left side low oil would pour out the breather tube. when i got that 2010 it was in a basket sent the crank in to be worked they magna fluxed it and said they had never seen a crank with that many cracks in it
