Another thought, what does the service manual state about what the oil pressure should be on this engine, if it is the original diesel for the 2010?

The reason I ask, the GM 2-53 is a different breed, but the oil pressure on it should be around 30 PSI at top engine speed (1,950 RPM), but drops to around 5 PSI at rated idle (600 RPM).
If someone does not know the GM 2-53 or have a service manual, they would see that kind of drop in oil pressure at idle and figure there was a problem when in fact, there is not.

it's a 2010 ag motor came out of a wheel tractor, motor was rebuilt then sold to me. Block it's self looks just like my 1010. I have to dig deaper in service manual I am kinda laid up right now, sold my 2010 AG crawler but it ran me over when we was loading it up. Now my foot is all screwed up, hurt like hell. It rolled up my foot through me on ground and little up my leg then stopped. They all tried pushing it off me but wouldn't move, ended up pulling it off with semi truck. Ofcourse when it pulled it twisted dam that hurt. Thank god nothing broke, spent the day in the ER thou.
perfect time to read and investigate for next few weeks. Dr says no walking.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that- it' s an unfortunate reminder to us that these crawlers are heavy and thus dangerous.

Consider yourself lucky. I got my right foot tore right off in a tractor accident and had to get it reattached. Didn't hurt at all when it first happened - but it did later and still does now - 12 years later. Lots of steel in it and it's crooked.

Any engine with main bearings too loose will have good pressure cold and lose much of it as soon as it gets warm. Metal parts expand and clearances get wider as an engine warms. My guess would be the bearings. I know you said you checked it -but you didn't mention how and what your clearance readings were. If .004" or more when cold, the engine is not going to hold good oil pressure. We used to fix a lot of 2010s and 450s with slightly undersize bearings. If the crank journal is smooth but clearance with new bearings is a bit loose, you use a .001" or .002" undersize bearing instead. Makes a big difference and you can do it without pulling the engine and crank. Deere used to sell 2010 bearings in standard. .001" under, .002" under, 010" under, .012" under, .020" under, under, .022" under, .030" under, .032" under, .033" under, etc.
What you want to shoot for is something around .0015 to .003" thousandths.

As others have mentioned, cam bearings can also cause a problem but that is rare. On the other hand, the engines in 450s DO have wear problems with the twin balancing shafts.

Oil pressure at high RPM when warm should be 35-50 PSI. A tight engine should not drop below 20 PSI at idle. If pressure is just a little low, it's not something I'd worry about. Every had a Detroit two-stroke? Most run near zero at hot idle -but they are more rugged then a 2010 engine.

Oh wow it took your foot right off, holy smokes I guess I was lucky. I am already walking on it in the house, still hurts, and I dont trust it on gravel or uneven surfaces.
I haven't had a chance to work on the 2010 motor, I have been laying on the couch, maybe after xmas I can get back at it. My problem is I am not sure what RPM I am at when I say "low idle" I might be too low of idle, I need to find out why my Tach just bounces around. I have put to different gear to to cable setups. Maybe my cable is broke inside... I am starting to think I had it idling to low.
Thanks I will check that stuff out, sorry about your foot
