pressure plate adjustment

Lavoy,
Can I adjust the pressure plate on my MC? And (if I can)which way do I turn the bolts?In or out? I have new clutch's But I reused my original plate.(I know I broke the first rule of crawlers,dont reuse old parts)
It was working fine untill I pushed a little too hard on a stump and she started slipping. And got worse as I went.

Has anybody adjusted the pressure plate on a mc? I took the final off tonight and turned the adjustment bolts out,that should put more pressure on the clutch's. But I got called back home before I could put her back together.

Any help is appreciated.
