This topic SHOULD be made into a sticky!!!

I did a search and there's a lot of questions but not many exact answers. I have a decal set for the 420 and I know where almost everything goes. Almost... My crawler was painted at least twice and the only one left showing was the "420 ". Where does the maintenance sticker go?? (big yellow one)

My seat (black) also had "John Deere" showing very faintly along the back bottom frame. It's faint, but appears to have been white. Is this original?? No decal for that.

I really hate to put the big "John Deere" on the sides towards the front. I have a side muffler and it will cover part of it on the left side. I guess I should have changed to a through the hood mount manifold. I still could I guess.

OK, here goes......

The big maintenance sticker goes inside the battery door.

The little deer sticker goes on the instrument panel IF there's no tach.

2 "wash in kerosene stickers" one on the oil fill cap and the other on the oil fill cap on the oil tank if you have one.

The air filter should be obvious.

Look at photos for the "420" angle and placement. I do not have the exact measurements for them. Maybe someone else can measure that and post it.

The John Deere, on the later 420's (yellow stripe), 71/4" from the front of the hood.
