# 24 scarfier for 440IC

Post by Pat » Sun Feb 12, 2012 11:11 am

Anyone have a model 24 scarifier? Need a couple of teeth and shanks. Have tried the local farm stores for matchs, and googled it and checked the different after market/ manufacturing sites, and none of their pics are close to mine. The ones with it are not original, and carry a casting # of X8226-cu. Any help appreciated.

I have no idea what a 24 ripper uses. I have a Deere # 35 ripper and it was missing three shanks and teeth. I bought new ones aftermarket they've worked fine.

H&L Tooth Co., Tulsa, OK 800-458-6684. Shanks are HL-50947 and teeth are HL-6Y-5230.

Pat,
That is the right part number for the factory shank.

Thanks Lavoy. I believe Randy built the frame for a guy in Mass., where I got it from, so just assumed the shanks were aftermarket. Any ides on locating shanks? Pat

Deere used to be well over $100 many years ago, not sure if they are even still current.
I would try the company listed above and see what they have. Otherwise, I do have some that I had flame cut from 1" plate a while back. They look different because they are not cast though.
