New guy with 1010 questions
Hello, I've purchased a 1010 and need some help! It's 4 roller model, does that make it an ag crawler? I have checked the engine and bell housing and the s/n tag is missing. The first coat of paint is jd yellow, the second coat is an almost florescent green, (not jd tractor green) and last coat looks like faded cat yellow? It does not have a reverser, the shifter is on the floor, and it has an oil bath breather? I also need to know which winch it has. Were john deere winches made by carco? I think it could be a 3310 from some of the pictures I've seen? Are 3310's carco or jd? The blade is 6 way manual with the arms on the inside. I'm not too good at posting photos, but I can put a short video on you tube of moving it to my shop yesterday. Search AC carrys jd 1010 Thanks!!!

Cool video. Never seen a 1010C go that fast sideways without a freaked out driver in the seat.

Video was only about 30 seconds. Could not tell if you cut it off because he was about to run over you or what.
Can you get more pics of the winch now that you have it at home?

1010 winch
I have a 1963 1010. It have a John Deere series 10 winch on it. Even shows the winch in the service manual. I don't know if that's the winch John Deere used on all 1010's or not. Looks similiar from the quick view on the video.

There is a casting number that ends with a D that is the same style as John Deere with the long tail at the bottom of the D, which makes me almost sure that it a John Deere winch. It does not look like the pictures of series 10 winches I have seen. I'm thinking 3310 or 3315. Did JD make it's own winches or were they made by a different company for them? I would like to find out because maybe there are parts cross references with another company.

Need a couple pics of the winch, but looks like a JD 10 series. A JD 10 series and a JD 3310 look pretty much the same, 3315 is a little different. If you want you can email me the pics and I will post them for ya.
