SB the hoses to the cylinders are all 1\2 inch but there is a 3/8 fitting to the bypass valve and the return line is 3/4. You can get a parts catalog online free from John Deere that has all the hose sizes and lengths http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/com. ... ervlet_Alt. you will have to search 831. Hope this helps.

Juke I have the pdf file saved on my hard drive if you email me at john@knearem.com I will try to forward the file to you.
Oh also I do know where there is a complete control valve' used. I had to order one for parts for mine and the place called farmlandtractor.com says they do have one more. I think I paid 250.00 for the one that I bought. It was dirty and needed some new o-rings but definitely usable.
I do have a question for you, it looks like the yellow that you used on your machine just about matches what I used is yours the "new" John Deere Ag yellow? That is what I used from a farm supply store called Rural King.
Again hope this helps you out.

Juke one other thing I forgot to mention is that they used 2 different controls on these loaders. The numbers are listed in the parts manual for both types. I am not sure if they both had the same size fittings, you will definitely want to check that our first.
