Overall opinon of the new board??????

Post by Lavoy » Wed Apr 27, 2005 10:09 pm

Okay, it has been up for a while, what is the overall opinion of the new board????? Now that I have gotten used to it, I am really enjoying it, and so many new features that were not available on the old board.
I think we are up to about 60 users registered, and still gaining one every now and then. I hope we have not lost anybody from the old board.
So far it seems we have a good start, and to me it seems like the overall number of posts per day is up which is a good thing.
Let me know what you think,
Thanks,
Lavoy

Being like the Johnny Popper board it's very familiar and easy to navigate. I like them both very much and try to visit every day.
I do have one question/observation: Ihave dial-up, (can't get high speed, too far away and I'm not moving closer!), With the J.Popper board I move between screens fairly fast, (for dial up), but on this board it is terribly slow between boards ?? Other than that, which is probably my problem, like it very much. Thanks Lavoy for having it. :) :) Roger

new board

Lavoy,

This forum is light years ahead of the old one. I am a member of many forums and email lists and they all have the pros and cons. The fact that this is free of popups and advertising makes any other issues trivial and not worth mentioning.

I for one am glad you've taken on the task of maintaining a forum such as this. Without them a lot of people (myself included) would be without the assistance we really need.

Thanks,

Brad

Lavoy,

The more I visit here, the more I like it. It does seem similar to the JohnnyPopper board, which I also like. It's much easier to use and those annoying pop ups are GONE! Much more content that the old one. Color scheme is very appropriate.

:D GREAT JOB!!!!

Thank you for a wonderful resource. We would be struggling to keep the little crawlers running with out this.

I should have added, that a lot of the credit goes to Jeremy, he is the one that has done a lot of the work on the board, and came up with some great ideas for new features. Now if he can get me to figure out how to use it all.

Great job on new board, went through major withdrawals when board was down. Don't be shy to add a "collection" link.

The New Board

Post by JD430 » Sun May 01, 2005 9:52 am

Nice job on the new Board Lavoy. I like the sections rather than everthing all trown together as it was in the old board. I second many of the things altready said.

I especially appreciate the popup and ad free aspect of the new board.

I think the new board is great. It is very nice to have it so similar to johnnypopper so it's easy to remember how to do things!

The "new" board is great though I can't compare to any older ones. I really appreciate being able to see other JD's and all their modifications.

Love the new board!! Glad I was able to get back on and enjoy the JD Crawlers discussions. Great to have everyone in my back pocket for help and parts. Thanks for keeping this going! Don't know what I would do for help if it wasn't for this. Thanks a million!!!!!

Just wanted to say how much I enjoy the new board, love to read all the questions people have and the answer's you give, also really like to look at the picture's people send in. This is a really neat site.
Thanks for all your hard work and effort you have put into it to make it what it is. Thanks, Dan
