jd crawler steering

HELP!! My old crawler won't turn left. I've tried both adjustments but still won't work. Don't know what year it is and no plate on it. The numbers on the block are T 11424T.....T18075T.....M4214T.....M1782T. It should be between 1945 to 55. I'll get manual once I know for sure. Thanks, Denis

Well the BO-Lindeman was built from 1943 to 47 and the MC was built from 49 to 52 and finally the 40C was built from 53 to 55. The BO has a horizontal engine and the MC or 40C has a two cyl vertical engine, if this will help narrow it down some. You might try comparing those casting numbers with the parts lists at jdparts dot com.

Denis, send us some photos of your crawler, as the guys will narrow
down your model from what we see. Take a photo of the engine as well as dash, under the seat etc.....

Thanks Scot. I have 2 pics but not sure how to send them. Looks like i'll have to take left track off and get inside that housing. Heavy stuff.

If it won't turn left, then problem is most likely in rignt side final drive. Would look there first.
