1010 diesel starting problem

Post by gregjo1948 » Sun Jul 15, 2012 8:13 am

One of my 1010 diesel dozers cranked slow and started hard. I thought it had a tired starter. After removing the starter, I checked the numbers on it and found that it was a 24 volt. Now using 24 volts it cranks and starts as it should. I found the numbers for all the 1010s in my parts manual. I thought I should share this in case some one else has purchased a 1010 with the same problem. :) Greg
