Hydraulic problems on a 1010
Hydraulic problems on a 1010
Back again. When does it become fun to own a dozer.Got two days work out of it,after weeks of working on it.Let a friend try it tonight,he only drove it for about 5 mins. Now I have nothing at blade. It will not raise, lower or tilt.It has a reverser which is still working,so I assume it is not the pump.Just looking for a starting place. Thanks in advance.Rich
If you have a later 1010 with the hyd pump disconnect, make sure it is not disengaged. Also check for air leaks in the suction line, oil level, simple things like that.

I had a similar problem.
On mine it was a small leak where the return line from the pump rubbed on the frame of the tractor, I assume causing it to suck air. I finally noticed a fluid leak when shut down and then replaced the rigid pipe with flexible hose. I then cut the old one in pieces with a saws-all to get it out without removing all the belly pans. Worked fine after the fix. I did however have some clues that trouble was coming, it hesitated and jerked a bit, then pretty much quit completely. I also had the problem on a loader not a dozer..
You might have a similar problem???
ps, I saw that the pressure line had a lot of rubs on it also, so I split some black water pipe end to end and clamped it over to protect it from getting holes as well. I have used this easy repair more than once since.
