#61 blade question

Post by JD40c » Sat Aug 25, 2012 11:13 pm

What is the OEM hose routing for a #61 blade installed on a 40C? From what I gather, the hoses ran to the back of the crawler and hooked into the remote connections which were connected with hard lines to the control valve up next to the hydraulic tank.

Is this correct?

Depends on how the crawler was equipped at the factory, or when the dozer was added. IF you have rear remotes, then the hoses run down the right hand fender under spring loaded clips. You put the boom hanger on the blade, and then you could take the cylinder off the blade, unclip the hoses, and use the cylinder on a towed piece of equipment.
If the crawler did not have rear remotes, then the hosed go directly from the valve to the cylinder.
