1948 mc

Post by rszkwcz » Wed Aug 29, 2012 3:10 pm

I was told it is a 48 even though every where i look i am told they did not start to make them till 1949. I got this thing cheep enough I thought but now i am in the process of changing the steering clutches. I have pictures but do not know how to upload them here yet. I am going to need track shoes in the near future anyone know what they are selling for. The ones I have are 12 inches wide.

Nice looking old mc. The fellows I meet here are some of the most resourceful people I have ever met and you certainly didn't let us down in that dept.....The swingset was a cool idea. Nothing like a little redneck engineering to bring a project to fruition.
Keep the good pics coming of the progress as most of us love seeing the pics. My wife calls it "crawler porn"

Did you ever find track shoes? I just got a MC and it is supposed to come with 3 complete sets of tracks, once I get the other sets (they are in a barn 80 miles away) I am going to assess what I need and may sell some. Let me know if you are still looking, not sure about shipping though.
