Rollers are getting hard to find nowadays. I may have one, can get more if you need them. Give me a call or e-mail if you are interested.

MC Bottom Rollers again

Post by mcstu » Wed Dec 27, 2006 3:53 pm

Can these rollers be machined and fabricated effectively? I was thinking about taking my blown one in to the machine shop to see if they could make something to fill the void and work. The goal being to disperse the weight along the track frame, not be purely original. In my area, and cost plan buying a 500$ newer used original stinks.

Any thoughts Lavoy? I guess it depends on their costs.

I doubt you could get them machined for $500 each unless you took some awful large quantities.
If you are not concerned about original, I have some NOS Berco roller shells that should adapt fairly easily. Thay are square bored and should accept sealed bearings quite easily. I have been going to make them up, but have too many irons in the fire.
