Hey, thanks for the information. I need a set of chains for my Jd 1010, but if I buy them from John Deere they cost more than I paid for the dozer. I can buy the John Deere MC for a little more than 1 chain will cost.

There are no new 1010 chains in spite of what your dealer may have told you, haven't been in more years than I can think of.
If you need chains, I might have a set, or my brother might. Or, I can get you new 350 chains and you can convert the crawler over.

It will vary with brand, but roughly $1000 per side for new sealed interlock chains. Bolt set is about $150, pads if you need them will depend on style and width, but $1000 for the pads is a close guess.

Yes, you are correct the dealer did say 350 chains. Are you saying both sides for $1500? My pads are ok. Will they fit the 350 chains? They are 4 bolts.

No, $1000 per side. Yes, your pads are a direct bolt on. You will need to rerim your sprockets with 350 rims as well.
