I have the older style track adjusters (threaded tube). One is stripped. I can't find the hydraulic adjuster part # for 440 in the book. What would be the best alternative? Change the broken tube and screw I find them... or upgrade to the hydraulic style. Where can I find parts for that at a decent cost?
Thanks,
440 track adjuster

The JD440 hydraulic adjust is no longer available from Deere. The JD350 adjuster will work but looks a little different if you are looking for original restoration. There is an after-market hydraulic adjuster that is considerably cheaper and I have heard a number of people say they are very happy with them. Lavoy has sold them in the past and may be able to get one for you. Gil

Really expensive to convert to the repacement adjuster from Deere, the aftermarket adjusters work just fine, about $350 last I knew, or I have some of the pieces for the mechanical adjusters done as well.
