Crap! Just took the left final drive off and............
Alright, I am on the left final drive have done every other clutch and this is the last. I noticed it leaking from the pinion cover and one bolt was too long sticking out at an angle. I suspected something wrong but did not expect to find what I did. The outer bearing was totally gone but for a few rollers and a piece of cage. I took the cover off to find it had been broken and someone cobbled together a bolt to try to repair it once before. The repair had broke and the final drive case has a big break out on it. basically it is gone. Pieces are missing and the pinion shaft end is ruined as well. It is amazing more did not happen. Okay, the part number is T10004T. I have a 1010 for parts and it does not have the same part number but will it interchange? The guy that sold me the 1010 was a dirty crook who stole my money but he told me the final drives, clutches, pinions etc were interchangeable. Is this true? If not, I am in the market for a good T10004T. Thanks as always for the help. Walt in Iowa.

I'm not going to swear to it, and kind of skeptical, but it is possible if you bolt the entire 1010 final drive on, and you will have to use the 1010 sprocket, it might work. It will be different gear ratio, so the crawler will tend to drive in a large circle, which will be irritating.

Were in Iowa are you Walt?
I recently sold a junk 440ICD with what appeared to be two good final drives to a guy here in SE Iowa. I am not sure if he still has the crawler, has parted it out, or scrapped it, but might be worth a call.
The guys name is Phillip Grandinetti
I looked up his name online and this is the number I found for him if you want to try him. 319-385-7078
Good Luck!
