2010 voltage reg

Post by vailvalley59 » Sun Nov 02, 2014 6:51 am

Would anyone know the NAPA part number for a voltage regulator for my 2010 diesel? (positive ground) I suspect that it is not working as it should--did test on generator and it seems to be OK. Thanks much

Not sure of the NAPA # but here are some of the OEM#.1118381, 1118779, 1118977, 1118979, 1118986, 1118987, 1118993, 1118997, 1118999, 1119191, 1119576, 1119579, D646 Most of the Generator regulators produced today can be polarized either NEG or POS Grd. Hope this helps Jason

Thank you all--I am still testing to be sure the generator is putting out what it should--found NOS unit on e-bay also !! Everything was working fine two days ago.

positive ground

Did you have to change the positive ground system to use Delco alternator?
I have several of them around but all came from negative ground systems. Thanks

just reverse the battery cables.... if some one has added an amp meter then the wires on it need to be reversed also i be-live or it will read backwards ... nothing else on the machine cares it its pos or neg ground

cold start

Post by vailvalley59 » Mon Nov 03, 2014 11:53 am

It was 32 degrees here this morning--2010 fired right up with the help of primer pump and glow plugs--used the pump several times after start up to keep going. Still seem to have misfiring at certain RPMs --may still be injectors. Had a hard time finding the correct o-rings for primer--(NAPA) --used some old ones I had on hand and they seem to work better. Thanks
