I'm working on a nice little 64 JD 1010, I have replaced every piece of rubber on the little guy, including new hydraulic lines throughout. I have also replaced all of the old cracked/crusty wiring. My question and I know it might be a dumb one but for the life of me I cant find where the tachometer cable goes, sounds rediculous as I have been all over this thing. It came to me with no tachometer cable, the tach is in place but the cable is missing. Thanks for reading this post and any info you have.

right side of the engine just above the oil pan near the dist (if gas) or the inj. pump

Ok, there is a plug thats about 1.25 inches in diameter just below the distributor. Is there a drive that goes in that location to hook the tach cable to? Can a guy still buy those?
