So are you saying 3 point from factory was not available for a 40c period ? and if there is one present that's for sure factory components these were removed from a 420c ?

I think you posted this to the wrong thread - did you intend for it to be with your thread "430C 3 Point+blade" down below?

Sorry, I missed that. You might try leaving a PM for JimAnderson, if you are looking to see if he has more info. It looks like he was on the site back in October. Good luck.

Jim Anderson: Wishing you all the best. Happy Holidays. Every time I run my 420, I think of your helpful comments as I brought it to a better level of reliability. Fired it up yesterday; two cranks, and runs like a top. Steers and pushes well. I need to go back into my winch and adjust the clutch a bit tighter, but a quick fix and minor annoyance at worst. Paul

40s never left the factory with a 3 point.
There were 3 point "bundles" that could be purchased once the 420s came out, and one of those bundles could be installed on 4 and 5 roller 40 crawlers.

Hi,

Not enough track length for the down pressure of the 3 pt I think. As the implement is shoved into the ground, force is transferred towards the front. I think too much for the front idler on a 3 roller wihout another roller or two to share that load.

3 roller 40 has a different rear trans cover that will not accept the rockshaft support piece, and it can not be changed due to the style of PTO.
