A question about the pins that hold the loader arms to the frame at the top--are they to be off center with a larger diameter that fits in the arms? Is this to adjust the centering of the loader?
Another question--my 2010 has the older oil bath air cleaner on it--when I remove the oil container , the engine runs much better. Seems to be some sort of restriction in the unit--I have cleaned the screens but the whole thing is a pain to get to--any ideas?
Thanks

Hi,
The air cleaner screens are in the airflow path *after* the oil cup. The air flows down the center tube, turns 180 degrees and flows up over the screens and into the engine.
If removing the cup removes the restriction, either you have too much oil in the cup or the restriction is in the center tube. I have seen those get bent such they restrict, or something built a nest in there. The top caps originally had a coarse screen to keep pests out, and they like to 'get gone'.
My M wheel tractor got to running poorly this summer and it had mud wasp nests in the tube.....

Thanks for the info on the pins--I only have one that is off center that came with the loader--will have to create the other.. Yes the oil cup was cleaned and the air cleaner was removed and dipped by my son-in -law at work. It seems strange that the removal of the cup makes so much difference in the operation of the engine. The oil in the cup is the same as in the motor--10w-30. I did not have the pre-cleaner on when I was doing this. With the oilcup on at full throttle the engine produces a lot of black smoke on a hard pull--seems OK right? when the cup is off, on the same uphill pull the is almost no smoke and it seems to have more power--just like it was choked for air with the cup on. thanks
