Did the 435 get the larger transmission like the late 440's ?
nothing crawles like a deere

No, that is one of the things that gets wrecked in them right away is the ring and pinion. As an update, I have read articles about putting in a bigger ring and pinion, but been too many years to remember the details.

Hmm,interesting so they never upgraded the trans like they did the 440.

Hi,

The sad part is they ran for a very long time if one used them as intended: with a 1000 RPM baler. I was still baling on one that was 20+ years old at the time....
