Let me start by saying that I'm a Dozer virgin this being my first. It's a JD 1010 that I just bought several months ago and have run it very little. Today after pushing out some barberry, multiflora rose, and small trees (Wrist sized) I was headed in off the Back40 when the right track seemed to catch and it stalled out. I got off not knowing what to look for but noticed this.
right side.
left side.
This looks bad to me. What did I break .It supposedly has a new undercarriage with few hours on it.

OMG What Did I Break !!!
Looks like bad final drive bearings to me, although could be broken axle. Either way, only way to check is pull the final drive, and don't run the crawler unless you want to spend lots more money.
By the way, can't see the rest of undercarriage, but sprockets are very worn, definitely not new..

Is the casting broke? Looks like bearing went out and wiped out internals to final drive. I've got parts for a 1010 located in Danville pa if you need any.
Cleanup the final and see if you can find the issue. Then send more pics.
