Hi all, I now own a 53' 40C 3 roller serial #605##.
If 2263 units were made, then why do all other 40 tractors (S,U,V,H etc.)
list #s from 60,001? I think far less 3 rollers were made than their last
# totals from 60k as I have seen many wheeled 40''s with #s smaller than
62263. Please let me know if I'm missing something in serial #s and
quanity of models.

All 40 models started at 60,001, so you could actually have one of each model with the same serial number.

Thanks for the info Lavoy, my 40c has a heavy dozer blade and the roller
bearings are sloppy. It runs and steers nice but I don't want to work it
hard. It will likely be traded for something more workable less collectable.
