1010C blade identification

Post by Joe Copeland » Sun Dec 20, 2015 5:51 pm

I would like to know what the John Deere blade type is on my 1961 1010. It is heavy and mounted outside the tracks. It will also angle with manual pins. There is no ID tag on the blade. Thanks, Joe Copeland

If it is a 61 it should be 90" wide moldboard and would be a model 624 if it is 93" wide then it is 62 or newer and would be a model 616

Thanks for the reply. I measured the blade and it measured 88 inches across the top, 86 1/4 across the middle, and 89 1/2 across the bottom. This could be off a fraction of an inch but is close.
I want to buy a new 4 cushion set for the seat. It is the high back heavy steel seat frame. Do you recommend a good quality seat set that is available? I also need a muffler. The exhaust comes vertically out of the hood with about a 2 inch pipe.
Thanks,
Joa Copeland

So it looks like 90" that would make it a Model 624 and pre 62

is your 1010 gas or diesel? if diesel do you have the "flared" clamp for the bottom of the muffler or is the "up" pipe just straight?

ask LAVOY about parts before going any where else :D :D

Looks like you got the blade identified. Is there a reference for this type of information? My 1010 is gas and the exhaust goes straight up and about 2 inch diameter. I do not know if the original exhaust was vertical or horizontal. Thanks, Joe

There are some operator manuals specific to attachments such as the blades- they are on the JD bookstore website but I haven't specifically looked for these.
(1) JD Straight 450 crawler dozer with manual outside blade; (2) JD 2010 diesel crawler loaders; (1) JD 2010 diesel dozer with hydraulic 6-way blade; (2) Model 50 backhoe attachments, misc. other construction equipment

Hi,

In the FAQ section, there are threads for machine specifications. But not for the attachments. There is a thread listing the manuals for the attachments by machine (as well as the machine manuals).
