reverser
reverser
I think I have 1 complete and another one that might only be missing a couple things. Bought a couple parts machines over the years and these were on them. Don't really know any more about them than that.

Hi,
Fits on the nose of the trans....must be the Gear Style reverser.
No idea on a value, though.

420 to 131,309 were a small gear type unit bolted to the front of the transmission. 420 after that, all 430, and all 440 had a wet clutch type of reverser in a complete replacement center section that bolts to the front of the transmission, and then a bellhousing bolts to that to mount the engine. You could also buy a parts bundle to install either type of reverser in the field, hence why you might see a 40 with a reverser, or an earlier 420 with a clutch type reverser.
