3PT hitch for sale

Post by Lavoy » Thu Oct 26, 2006 1:51 pm

For Sale: 3PT hitch for later 40 through 440. The housing has been welded, but looks like a good job. No top link or sway chains, but I can put together a set of chains if need be. I can ship, or it can sit here if you want to come and get it at some time.
Call or e-mail if interested.

Hi,

The rockshaft goes under the seat - you remove the tin seat support and the mount the seat to the rockshaft. You have to attach a dual-acting hydraulic cylinder to the left fender. That gives you down as well as up pressure, which is very handy. The hydraulics for the cylinder are tapped into the existing hydraulics for the blade - you have to add an extra spool valve though.

They are a little harder to put on a loader, but not that much. Main difference is if it is a factory Deere loader, there is no room for the cylinder bracket, so you need to fabricate an upper cylinder mount to weld to the LH loader tower. Only thing else you need to do is add a valve like Stan said.

thanks for the input. my tractor is a 420 ,#90 loader. it has no pump on the engine it's self or to run a blade/aux. etc. can i get a pump to fit? do i have to worry about hardend cam gears? or just plum it into the loader?? the 3 point sounds pretty strait forward. still thinking about it thanks

Your cam probably already has a drive connector on it, if not, it is easy to add. All in all, it will be cheaper to just add a valve to run the 3PT than to try and add another complete system. The return out of the main valve is pipe thread, so easy to tap into. Just get a valve that will handle about 13 GPM, and has a pressure relief that you can set to about 1000PSI. Surpluscenter.com has all kinds of valves and such.
