Post by JD430C » Fri Jan 19, 2007 5:23 pm

i have a set of 1010 4 roll tracks for sale. will fit the 420-440, but wont be original. pads are worn pretty good, but rails and pins and bushings looked good. i will check tomorrow to make sure they are. local pickup only, but i can help trucking. asking 500 for both. johndeere430c@yahoo.com

Andrew,

Did they make the 1010 in a 4 roller setup? I thought that 440 on up were all 5 roller.

It was an option, although at that time I believe not a very popular one. Might have been more prevalent on the Ag crawlers, but not many of them built either.
The 4 bolt rails also became the replacement part for 420 and 430, so there was another possible source there.

Don, yes u could get 1010s and even early 350s with 4 roll undercarriages. i have seen several up this way. if u look in the photo section and the home page of this site u will see a 1010 4 roller. IMO they look kinda dorky :D

Hey, hey, hey, that's my crawler you're talking about! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
