420 hydraulic pump

Post by don racicot » Mon Jan 29, 2007 8:24 pm

I am looking for a rebuilt or good working pump for my dozer. The one I have bolts to the engine block and is gear driven. I have seen a dozer with the pump mounted in front of the radiator on the brush gaurd. Would this be a better option and how big of a headache to install? Thanks for any help. Don

Don,
If you have the cam pump, stay with it. The crank driven pumps were high volume for running loaders and/or hoes, and would be too fast for a dozer.
I may have a pump left, shoot me an e-mail if you want me to check.
