MC for sale

Post by Bob M » Wed Apr 04, 2007 10:29 pm

I have an old MC crawler that has set for years with the head off of it. There may be some small engine pieces missing, but everything else is there. It has a homemade/aftermarket blade and the tracks were rebuilt just before the engine was taken apart. I bought this with my Dad before he died and have just never found the time to rebuild it. Everything was working before the engine was taken apart. I would sell it for $2500.
I am in west central Indiana and my email is: miller1@indy.tds.net .[/img]

If I don't sell this MC, does anyone have an engine that will work in it? And if so, how much would it cost me? The little MC was a blast to play with.

Is there any reason that you can not reuse the old engine?

I just figured that it would cost as much or more to clean this engine up and rebuild it.

There is no guarantee that a used engine you buy would be any better shape than the one you have, just is still bolted together. I would rebuild the one you have rather than put in a used engine with an unknown history.

I don't know if it matters on vintage crawlers like it does on vintage autos, but it seems to me from a collector's standpoint that it would be best to keep the original stock engine if you can. My $0.02.
