Wanted JD 40C close to Ohio
40 C
Mike, I have one that I have not started work on. I found a 440 and have put the 40 on the back burner. It is a solid machine for a good start. It runs and steers. The tranmission sounds good. It does not jump out of gear.
The sheet metal is Fair(rusty), It was missing the Nose, so I used one from a tractor. I built a grill guard that covers most of the nose.
It smokes, I think it needs rings and or valve guides. It has good oil pressure.
It came with a "61"blade that is in poor condition.
It is a four roller, 1955.
If you are willing to make a long drive to Southwest Georgia. (almost Florida)
Let me know, I can sent pictures and more info.
