1010 steering control rods

Post by olrobk » Mon Apr 30, 2007 10:35 am

I need a steering control rod for my 1010.
They are right on top beneath the cover, about 4" long. There is a new style and an old style. The new one has a retractable sleeve to release it from the ball for easy adjustment. the old one has lock nuts on either end of a long nut. A sleeve on one end is missing and it was just resting on the ball. I'd take a new one if you had one. The other machine I have might need them also. Do you have little stuff like that? =Rob

I would have to check prices on new ones, I do not have any used ones left.
Let me know,

The old style is not available. I think it's a lousy design anyway compared to the new style. The new style is around $75 or $100 since the price I got for the spring end alone was $50. I have the exploded parts drawing with numbers from the dealer's book if you'd like to see a copy. Send me your fax and I'll try sending it to you. =Rob

I doubt that I can get you them any cheaper than that. The link for a 420 is over $150 now.
