Here's my story.
My 420C rocks. I use it to skid hardwood for firewood, pine for boards, and to move packed snowmounds from the driveway. I banged the underside of the left (read... battery-side) final drive housing on a rock protrusion and cracked/chipped the casing. Didn't know I did it because I was busy getting the track back on. Drove the thing for another 6 months until a -16F blizzard where I was winching plows out of the ditch. I think the chilly chunks/chips ('bout the size of a thumb), now looser, fell INto the casing and landed in the oil pan. The final drive gear gave the cast-iron chunks a ferris-wheel ride up to the pinion gear. Not good. Blew out teeth on both gears and the outer bearing on the final drive flanged axel disintegrated (dust and rollers all that's left). All these sorry parts are off, cleaned, and part of my show and tell story.
I need:
All the seals, gaskets and bearings in the final drive assembly.
The shim pack.
A pinion gear.
A final drive gear (63 teeth) (btw, the cast core on the original one is OK)
A final drive housing (don't need the oil pan... that survived)
Ouch.
