Looking for JD40 hydraulic cylinders

Post by Twells » Wed Oct 17, 2007 7:08 pm

Hi,

I'm looking for the hydraulic cylinders that lay horizontally in the middle of the tracks and run the blade on a JD40.

Thanks,

Tim,
Do you need the complete cylinders, or just parts? I might be able to come p with a pair of complete cylinders, and I have some individual parts as well.

Lavoy,

I need the entire cylinder, as it is cracked. Believe water got into it and froze it. I believe I only need the one on the right side. Would you sell just one, and how much are you asking for them?

Thanks,

Lavoy,

I have a little more information. The part number for the cylinder assembly, which only includes the cylinder housing and the two bushings for the lifting arm are:

AN2417YC for the left cylinder
AN2418YC for the right cylinder

The JD40 is a 5 roller.

Thanks for your help,

Tim,
If your housing is cracked, it is likely everything inside is OK, so all you would need is the empty case. I do not have any right here, so can't check immediately. I believe I have some at the farm, would have to check. If you want, send me an e-mail and when I get out there, I can get back to you. I would guess a few weeks before I have time to go out there.
Thanks,
Lavoy
