For several months I have driven by what appears to be either a 1010 or 2010 loader tractor. It's sitting just off the highway with a for sale sign on it. It looks rough (as in expensive to rebuild). Yesterday it was in the same place, with the hood off and leaning against it.
Used to be 2 green crawlers at the same house. One had a Wisconsin engine in it!! It moved around some but has not been seen in several months. About the time to yellow one showed up.
I travel that road about once or twice a month. I really hate to stop as it could cause me problems
Tempting, but trouble...
It's worth a closer look, because it may be a diamond in the rough if it has a good undercarriage and good running engine/tranny.
However it would give me pause if it looks like he has been swapping things in and out that don't belong on the machine. You just need to have a little restraint to walk away if anything looks funny. Personally, I can't resist curiousity on that sort of thing... it may kill me someday
