Wanted: R.H. foot rest 440 crawler
I'm in need of the right hand foot rest for a 440 crawler. The diesel and gas versions are the same. Not sure if any other models will fit, maybe Lavoy can answer that one. The part number is T10453T.
Thanks,
Brad

floor tin
Brad, Unfortunately you're a couple of days too late. A guy on ebay is parting out a 440 and had the 4 pieces of floor tin for auction.

I saw that auction and was going to have my wife bid since it ended while I was at work. Unfortunately she got distracted by her boss at the last minute and forgot.
I hardley ever win an auction where I bid early so I always bid one time at the end. I either get it then or else someone else valued it more than I did.
Thanks,
Brad

maybe another source
Brad, I know the feeling of getting distracted at the last minute and missing an auction. There is a guy in Buffalo NY that recently tore down a 440 to component level. I emailed him about some stuff he had left over. I can ask if he has any sheet metal he might have thought wasn't valuable enough to put on auction. If he's still got it, I'll grab them for you. Keep plugging away on the crawler. Talk to you later.

Ebay's a great resource when you use it right. One other item I'm also looking for is the curved guard that goes over the track adjuster. Have one, need the other.
Thanks,

foot rest
Brad, Unfortunately it sounds like all the small stuff is gone. As far as the curved shields go, if you have access to a sheet metal brake and a lolly column you should be able to fabricate one(or two). If you need the gage of the sheet metal I can get it of my machine. I already snapped the first bolt trying to get mine off. I'm going to try the Kroil on the others. If you need all the dimensions, let me know.

Re: foot rest
Scott, thanks for checking. I find I am also in need of the top and side baffles for the radiator. I was looking through the parts book and realized I didn't have to remove those when I pulled the radiator, because they weren't therelastchancegarage wrote:Brad, Unfortunately it sounds like all the small stuff is gone. Also missing are the guards for the governor.
If you or anyone else could provide sketches with dimensions I could probably have the local sheet metal shop fab them up for me.
Thanks,
Brad

dimensions
Brad, If the rain stops by the time I get home, I'll get those dimensions to you. Should be an easy job for a metal shop. Talk to you later.

various sheet metal parts
Brad, Sorry for the delay, my quicky vanity change downstairs turned ugly. Anyway, here's some pics of those parts you were asking about.
The angle of the plates matches the frame and grill contour. They look to be 1/4" thick plate. You'll have to measure up the hole placement. If you can get some transfer punches, I've had good luck with them.
Sheet metal is about 3/32" thick, 5.5" high at center and 8" wide at base (inside measurement) with 1" flanges bent out on each side.
The governor cover looks pretty involved. Here are some pics to get an idea. Hope this helps.
If you need actual dimensions for the various mounting flanges let me know. It'll take a little while but I'm sure I can put something together for you.
Hope all this helps.

Wow
Thanks for the detail pictures. Now to print them out and draw up some plans to fabricate from.
I'm hoping Lavoy has the governor guard for sale. That would save me from having to make that piece at least.
Thanks again!!!!

I think the serial # of my crawler is 459125 (I'll double check that). Looking at the parts book and comparing the photos above I'm sorry to say you're right, the guard that should be on my crawler looks a lot different. DangLavoy wrote:Brad,
I found the guard, and it is like the one pictured above. By part number, the one you need is different. The part number you gave me is for the late 440, this cover is for early.

Foiled again.....
Thanks,
Brad
