You're between a rock & a hard place, where you're sitting now. 1010s are probably the hardest to find parts for & that drives the price of PARTS up. I'm afraid it doesn't especially help the value of badly broken units. Some members here have done their homework & found which combines, power units, or other products used these engines. Then, they searched for those engines on auction sites. If you have the facilities to swap the engine & the capital to acquire a replacement, you stand to lessen the bite considerably. I fear I don't have any knowledge as to the worth of the unit as it sits. I'm sorry for your misfortune, its a sharp unit.

That is a good looking old crawler but here is the thing .If it aint workin it aint worth much !! end of story .If you can put a motor in it you can get what it is worth .I just went and looked at a 2010 in nice shape but it had just quit running .He wanted 4G for it but it just quit running before I got there the exhaust manifold was still warm even but I offered 1500 bucks and got it several days later after 5 or 6 prospective buyers looked at it .He didn't want to fix it when I got it home it was just bad fuel and needed cleaning up but he didn't want to bother .If you want to be the guy that puts the motor in then you will get what it is worth ,Good luck .Digitup.

I'd give ya $500 maybe.
It'd be a long long drive for me, but my grandpa has a 1010 with a good diesel but a bad steering clutch and something is leaking with the tranny or reverser.

Considering I just put a new starter in it before the engine blew,I think not.lol
I have only found one 1010 in Mb. and its a gas job.and not having a trailer to add too it would bump up the cost of transport.

Dead crawlers sell for salvage for the most part. To get running crawler price, it will have to run. The question is how much money and time you need to or want to invest. If the cost of the parts to fix it are greater than the value increase, best to take your licks and not waste the time.
