450c Street tracks

Post by rufustoad » Fri Mar 25, 2011 8:52 pm

Would anyone be interested in trading street tracks for cleats?
God Bless

Growser Bar Pad

Post by JWB Contracting » Mon Mar 28, 2011 7:37 pm

The problem that you are going to run into is the street pads are fairly narrow and groswer bar pads (from a dozer machine) are wider, I think.

Are these going on a loader? If so i would recomment finding some fairly well used 24" pads and then cut them down to length.

I picked up a set of rails and 24" pads off of a 550G that the guys at work were going to put in the dumpster. The figured that when the sealed rails start to squeak they need to be repalced and they thought the pads were shabby. Took them home, cut them down and they are now on our 450C loader machine that we use around the yard.

Another in is to vist your local after market undercarriage dealer. We used to get truck loads of good used rails and pads from a local dealer, that was until our contact was run off. They often scrap stuff that isn't good enought for oilfield use, but would be usable to the occassionaly user.
