Rubber Pads

Post by Steven Walters » Sun May 01, 2011 8:16 pm

Did anyone come up with rubber pads for an MC? I have to run my crawler down the road.

I gave up on the idea years ago, had another vendor ask me if they could try it, but talked to them later, they gave up on the idea as well. The main problem aside from finding someone to mold them is the cost. 8-10 years ago when we looked at it real hard, the injection cost per pad was going to be at least $50, not including the mold cost. Then add in the cost of casting the cups including patterning cost, and it just astronomical.
I was able to find a two bolt Deere rubber pad that would work just fine, but the part number is no good at Deere, does not sub to any other number, and so far does not show up in any parts guides or applications that I have found.

Undercarriage is too short for the one he used, maybe a skid steer or mini-excavator would work.
