Antique Auction in Southern Alberta Canada

Post by JWB Contracting » Tue Jun 14, 2011 3:24 pm

I shouldn't be telling anyone about this auction, but I can't buy them all...

Check out this estate auction on July 16th by Bodnarus Auctions, looks like a nice straight collection.

I will be attending to make sure the Lindeman goes for atleast $15K and I have been looking for a 435 tractor for some time. I won't say what I am going on this unit as I hope to be taking one home. I really don't expect to get the lindeman as there will most likely be some serious collectors attending that have way more resources than I do.

I guess I am one of those guys keeping the prices up on the rare items as mentioned in the 3 point hitch post.

Selling Prices

Post by JWB Contracting » Tue Aug 02, 2011 8:29 pm

Well, the Lindeman sold for $15,500. I ran it up to $15K, and would have went for about $10 as the only other serious bidder was an internet buyer. I was also the runner up on the 3 other crawlers.

There was 60+ tractors there from restored to running to parts. I thought everything sold on the cheaper side except for the 435 tractor that I wanted to buy, I just couldn't justify $15K for painted tractor with new rubber and not a restored one.

I did end up with a farily nice 430 tractor for $2,500 so I didn't waste a 5 hour trip.

Lindeman Condition

Post by JWB Contracting » Mon Aug 08, 2011 12:21 pm

It had as new undercarriage and a factory dozer, nice paint job.

It was missing the lindeman casting that goes on top of the track frames and was missing the fenders.

I think it was a good buy and if we didn't have a few already would have went higher.
