Well finally after a lot of troubles the track wear gauges are finally completed. They were made out of Stainless Steel, laser cut and laser marked. The total price, with shipping included is 33.00 each, if you would like one of each gauge I will be able to discount that price. As you can see in the photos, the only difference between the 2 track wear gauges, if you are not familiar with these models, is the drive sprocket radius's. All of the other measurements are the same. The JD-267 gauge is to be used on the 40-4 roller, 420, 430, 440, 1010, 2010 before 42,000 serial numbers. The JD-266 gauge is for the 2010 after 42,001 and the 350. Since the gauges are made out of Stainless Steel and they have a glossy/smooth finish compared to aluminum, which is what the original gauges were made out of, they have a tendency to show very light scratches that do not affect the measurements. If you are interested please send me a Personal Message. Thanks!

Hi: I'm a visual learner. I can visualize how the gauge measures some track components, but I can't see how it's used for others. Did you find a manual on its use or did you explore its full range of uses? Could you post some more picture showing more of what it can do?
BTW, I'll PM you to buy a 420 gauge, just asking the other questions. Paul

I will admit it took me a little bit to figure out how to use the gauge, but after a good 10 minutes I had it. To go over everything this track wear gauge measures or compares the new profiles to which is the grouser height, pin to pin wear, support idler wear, roller radius and wear between the flanges, front idler radius, minimum track sag, drive sprocket wear, and link wear. I'll have to take some photos and post them.

Nice work.

Had been picturing the lazers effect on stainless.

Very nice craftman's ship.

Notmeu, do you have a limited quantity of these gauges or are you making them on demand?

I have about 35 of the JD-266 (350,etc)gauges left, and about 48 of the JD267 (2 cylinders) gauges left. So yes I do have somewhat of a limited quantity.

Can any of these gauges be used with the 450B?
