Hi Lavoy You might want to know that I have been getting glitches lately (am I the only one?) Sometimes when clicking on "View posts since last visit" I have been getting old posts like this one just now " http://www.jdcrawlers.com/messageboard/ ... highlight= (and some very old ones like 4 years ago) and the other glitch is that some posts come up as 2 or 3 pages when they is only one page

Hi,

Me too. It seems like some threads now have all their posts on Page One, and the other pages are empty.

I have also been unable to post, reply, start a new thread, edit or PM intermittently. When it happens I wind up in Debug Mode.

It just occurred with this post. I tried something new and turned off my Signature. Then, the reply would post and I can also edit it.

Edit again with Sig turned back on....

Edit for a 3rd time...Sig On worked. So that must have been a coincidence that turning it off made it work.

Hi,

A page consists of 15 posts. That one has 13 at this point. So, only Page One ought to have posts. The error is that the board thinks it has more than 30 posts.....

I see where this thread now has too many pages. I tried several times with the last post before it went thru. I think the unsuccessful attempts are being counted.

There seems to be a connection with post length and receiving the error that lands in debug mode. Short posts seem to make it. Longer ones not.

For example: Someting Odd Is Happening, here in the Off Topic forum. Where I posted when I was first seeing these things. It was a longer post with examples. It gave me a posting error. It exists, but it is empty.

And, it seems to matter not what I use. Phone, Tablet or PC. Nor what browser I am using as I have multiple ones for each device. It seems to be down to post length if it goes in or not.

I also just figured out.....the signature counts toward the length of the post....so that is why turning it off worked last night....I was close to the edge there and turning it off shortened my post just enough.

i guess the guys at the phpBB Group (very bottom of the page) need to do a little maintenance on this website. Assuming their the ones who do the computer wizardry stuff!!!

I was having the same "debug mode" issue as well.I thought that I was using incorrect language which I never do !!!

This is a rather old version of phpBB software. I am sure they would just say to change to the current version.

phbb has nothing to do with the board, they just made the architecture. It has to be fixed by admin which I am not capable of doing. I have an e-mail into Jeremy to see if he can figure it out.
